Managed to sort out a few jobs today... first of all re-instate the scottoiler.. filled it up primed, and calibrated... since the one side cover was off decided to give the inside under the seat a thorough clean... next calibrate the speedo.. as i have now fitted a 120 /60 / 17 tyre.. got hold of the original manual pdf version and sorted that... next... rad give the radiator on the one side a good blow out with compressor, take the rad gaurds off, and paint in black were previously sillver decided black would be better... also removed the horn and wire brushed all the rust off and sprayed silver... spray painted some other brackets holding on the side cover on too, as had gone rusty... sprayed the bottom of the one radiator... black as had a few scratches and marks on it... next job spray my front sliders previoulsy were silver decided to go for a gold colour was quite surprised they look quite good look like brass.. finish...
also reinstated the mud catcher thingy by the swinging arm it is damaged but i have a new one here somewhere...
have clutch cable coming tomorrow, so that needs to be sorted. along with the new gear lever rubber, and new clevis pin for the gear lever..
did have a quick look at the clutch cable routing today and can't see the plastic clip that it supposed to attach to on the frame... will have a better look tomorrow... also took off all the mechanism to see if the lever is free, and it does seem very stiff on the engine side.. its free enough but requires quite a force to turn the lever....
heres a few pics of it so far...
