anyone know what the maximum amount of front suspension travel is...?

i want to mount my front mudguard as close as possible to the wheel.... i have a cable tie around the fork and have about 7 inches so far.... does this sound rite...??

now for the serious bit,manual states 280mm spring travel for baghira and 190mm for mastiff and hr models
