Skorpion Power air filters?

Postby kato » Tue Nov 20, 2012 8:29 am

I recently removed the mini-van sized air filter box on my 96 Traveller and would very much like to avoid using it again as I like the slimmer looks between engine and frame the removal gives.
Are there any of the so-called "Power-filters" avaliable for the OE Yam carbs and where do I get them?
Any suggestions welcome

when it rains here it comes down hard...and often
i stalled several times in heavy traffic from the intake taking on to much water
even behind a Traveller faring

Many thanks Dave :smt023
I'll see how it goes when I take the bike back on the road. We get our share of the wet stuff around these parts too so maybe the air filter mod turns out to be a bad idea.

In the standard Skorpion Sport airbix fits an K&N panel-airfilter nr. 33-2709. Its made for an Suzuki Alto 1.0! It is a bit (5 mm) to wide to put in de airbox but i simply made it fit! Self made soft sealing ring. Standard panel-airfilter on stock by: http://www.racing-shop-schuller.de. Succes!
