Hi All :smt006

I built a chop a few years ago and I've always fancied having a crack at another one, I'm been on the look out for a suitable doner until I saw this picture on the random pics after signing in.

Now I've got a little devil on my shoulder shouting "chop the Baggy"

The thumper would be the perfect motor. Anyone seen or got any pics of MZ Chops?

You know when I saw you were from Durham I thought you would be into that............ Most of the chops you see at Rufforth seem to come from that part of the world. T'other half is from Durham, I'm from County Durham (Stockton) but mostly the Boro, sorry mate - you probably won't speak to me again now

more rear seat on the drawing that rear tire would eat you up if you missed the seat some how

and that xt 660 on u tube needs a bunch of work before it would pass MOT anywhere

Looks like it's in Brazil, though, Dave--I don't think MOT is big on that particular bike's list...

Interesting in a weird, Mad-Max sort of way. Still, it strikes me as the wrong engine for that particular type of build no mater how you slice it (much like the mini-choppers that are seen now and then around here). Better a screaming XS650 or Hawk Twin... But who am I to judge? Would i hit it, er, ride it? Yup. :-D

This was my last project, a Gsxr 750 motor and it would pull 130 mph, chop's are supposed to be cruisers but I created a monster

At least I'll still be able to stick with the plastic rockets on the twisties! Plase someone make these nasty thoughts go away!

PS. no offence taken (Smoggy) speak soon :smt007

Wow. I was afraid you were going to be one of "those..."

LOL!!!

Looks like serious fun! I'd hit it! When I was a lot younger, a buddy and I built a CB750-powered chopper out of an old hardtail frame (complete with twisted metal front "forks") that his uncle had abandoned at his house. It was properly equipped with a car rear tire, absolutely zero suspension, and a hand shifter... It was loud--and a heck of a lot of fun!

The XS750 wasn't too bad in its day but now they're too old, too slow and too heavy. A bit like me really :? may be that aint such a bad idea  Thanks for bursting my bubble.

Certainly wouldn't say mutilated......very nice 8) Could live with any of them. Do I detect a certain colour theme going on here? Black bikes always look the biz, ditto cars 8) Thought you might like my last ride, sadly no longer with me    At least my Skorp's the same colour
