going to look at two skorpions next week for £800... one is a runner, and the other is a spare... any advice...?
n reg, and an R reg...
a few new bits on the one tyres etc, and had been use on track....
are most parts easy enough to get hold of... plastics fuel tank fairing etc ?
thinking of making one good one and selling the rest of the bits...

new oem plastic is nigh nonexistent.
MLB makes 2-part fiberglass farings and a sest faring for the Skorpion.
engine stuff is obviously Yamaha.
There is nothing really daunting; the electric things that are substandard are better replaced right off.
same for the Grimeca brake parts. Unless you are deadset on keeping it original, the crummy wheels are another thing best replaced straight off.
the basic issue is whether you intend to use it seriously as the sports machine the engineers intended before mRketing and politics f---ed it up, or as basic sedate transportation.

Thanks Bill,
I going to have a look on tuesday to see what can be done, and what is there.. apparently the one bike is all good and needs tidying but the other is missing plastics fairing etc, but would make an ideal Spare.... I thinking on possibly using the one engine as a spare for the baghira and possibly getting it tuned... i assume the motor is in similar state of tune to the baghira ?.. then i could possible sell on whats left... to fund some engine tuning...

At that price I am not surprised. Nice to see Bill J back again and still as subtle and retiring as ever I see Bill.
I have just bought most of one sans engine and carbs but with plastics and all the bits Bill hates for 100 quid
I have a rattly SZR mill which I will endeavour to do something with as a donor..
