I recently obtained a Sport Cup which is an interesting machine but desperately needs some better sounding noises from the tailpipe. I found that Dale Walker made a can but no more. What are some options out there? Thanks.

if the can your using still passes inspection why change
for more noise and usually less power
and if you change do keep the old one for inspection time

they are getting fussy here about changing the pipes (WV)

I don't need any inspection here and I don't want a nasty loud pipe but i do enjoy hearing the motorcycle. I suspect that stock pipe is heavy as well. Really this pipe just leaves the bike with mechanical noise and a nice thumper should be more than a 2 wheeled sewing machine. I have a Kaw 14 with nice quiet stock pipes and a Triumph Triple with Triumph off road pipes that sounds sweet without annoying the neighbors. I agree that all those straight pipe Harleys are awful and work against motorcycling but I'd like to hear my machine when I roll on the throttle coming out of a turn out in the country . So anyone have one they want to get rid of or know another pipe I can graft on? Thanks

you do not have inspections ..but do save the stock pipe just in case they do some day

Here's one option:
"The can in question came from my M750 Monster, but the Ducati stamp on it says it is the M900 type". Fellow used the right side can.
"The sound is a pleasant but polite doff-doff that could never offend anyone; much nicer than the stifled fart of the original Teutonic muffler as it now sounds like a proper single should. "

I've got a Holeshot on mine. The hardest part is the mid-pipe. I got lucky and bought one from Ebay.
Running stock jetting, loads of bang, bang, POW on trailing throttle...with the pilot screw 7 turns out.
Changed the pilot jet to this: Mikuni #40 topic...pilot screw at 5 turns, minimal muted boom, just like the stocker, but it has that big single sound running down the road. (Yes, I just did it for the sound...not worried about increased performance). Fuel mileage has not suffered, still getting 48-52, depending on how I wring the throttle.

Got around the link pipe prob by having a local exhaust shop knock one up out of stainless. 50mm outlet then gives you a world of choice for slip on cans. This one cost £25 used but needed a db killer to make it less offensive.

Dale walker. Still sells pipes of various lengths,er cans I mean, like butters says,just have your local exhaust folks build a link pipe. I have a hole shot pipe on mine,and since re packing it is civil yet aggressive sounding especially over 5k rpm!
