Speedometer Drive Cable Question

I need to replace the drive cable for my speedometer. I don't mind the KM as I can do that math in my head (ok, this is a lie. I just know a couple of conversions) but I do need the thing to work. Anyone know a replacement cable or at least the length I'll need? What is the stock length?
Thanks
Dic

I found a universal speedometer core at my local Advance Auto Parts store. Its 83 in long so I'll cut it to fit. Part was $9.04. Not much money. I also have ordered a Digital speedometer from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DFM ... UTF8&psc=1For $60.00 it looks like it will work.

So, I have the digital Speedometer in hand but the repaired cable is working perfectly. I will hold on the the new cluster in case I need it in the future.
I repaired the cable housing using a tube flaring tool (plumbing supplies appox $20.00usd) and some heat shrink. Also a cable crimper ($80.00usd Cable TV type) to attach the screw-on fitting to the Speedometer and the Drive unit at the wheel. Graphite to lube the cable and a touch of silicone grease to seal the connections at the drive and the gauges. Everything works and it didn't cost very much.
