i just had a dead battery that turned out to be vry dry. Checked output at the battery after getting electrolyte and charged. running at 14 volts. any concern for needing a regulator or should I just keep an eye on the level? thanks!

Yes it's a strange one is that. I had a similar problem around three years ago, rectifier was feeding back or something and ended up with a dead battery after a week of being parked. I then looked for a rectifier to replace the first one and never fitted it as its still now on the same battery and rectifier!!
Just keep an eye on it for now. Eric

My brother just couldn't figure out the electrical issue on his 900 Ducati, off to the shop it went.
Got a call back, guess what...
H2O added, happy battery, and the Farrachi carbon cans sing again!
It seems to be the most simple things are over looked.

It seems like a regular electrolyte check might be in order. Checked again when fully charged and voltage right at 14.25 v. Probly just got too low to go, could have lest switch on too.:)
