MZ/MuZ Riders

Hello,

My name is Javier and I recently acquired a 1997 MZ Skorpion. Neighbor was going to salvage it, however, after looking through it its still in great condition.

I live in Charlotte, NC, USA. Would anyone know where I may find some parts??? Most importantly I need a new key!! (Previous owner has no idea of the whereabouts of the key). Asked around some motorcycle dealers and key makers, but no one has ever heard of this motorcycle.

After I get the key, I can try to start it up, and determine the condition of the motor.

I'm new to the forum and any help would be greatly appreciated.

And how about this for a coinkidink - I picked up a beaut of a 96 - identical to yours earlier this week, from a fine gentleman in MA ...
This is my second skorp, the first was a 2001 I bought in 2011 from NYC.

OK parts - he he I have owned 17 GS500's ... I've crammed the first skorp 1/2 full of GS500 parts ...

OK I am by huntersville border of charlotte 2 miles from Cabarrus county line 1 mi from the section of 485 that is still dirt, and You are essentially invited to come by anytime (just let me know).

I will cram a GS500 part in it and think about it later ... That's my usual method.

There is a nighthawk 700 on charlotte CL right now with a GS round headlight and a nighthawk 650 guage cluster that I built and sold in 08.

Thanks for the link! Now I'll go back and talk to all those locksmiths I had called with something that they may recognize.

However, if there are any Charlotte bike owners that may know a good locksmith, send me a message!
