Have had my rear tyre removed today, in readiness for my rear wheel rebuild / respoke,
have cleaned up the rear disk but it has a slight groove in it, can this be surface ground flat, if still withing min th tolerance, has anyone done this, or should i try and get a replacement disk.?
what is the replacement rear disk, i read somewhere same a bmw f650 gs funduro, are there any other rear disks that will fit...?

i tried on an rt 125 front disk. it was so hard that a regular wheel turning machine
would not cut it
if the grove is not to bad let it go and save money for later
replacement

yeah thanks Dave, i was just thinking now its off, i may pop it up too my local engine builders to see if he can clean it up a bit... he has surface grinder. would of thought it only needs a couple of passes over the stone to take the lip off...
cheers Al...

rear disc for the Baghira is EBC part number MD6284D
That is a EUROPEAN EBC part number. It does not show up on any USA EBC parts catalogs as I found out the hard way... had to order from UK.
You can find it here

thanks Jose,
but surely it can't be the same as a vespa rally, I have had a Vespa myself and they are drum brakes...

2003 MZ Baghira
2008 Aprilia Shiver
2008 Harley Nightster
2000 Kawasaki Concours
2002 Honda XR400R
2008 Genuine Rattler 110
1974 Vespa Rally 200
1963 Vespa GL 150
i would have thought the last two scooters have drum brakes not Disks... the rest probably have the same disk rotor....

Lots of little electronic niggles.... Right now, its throwing an error light but runs fantastic... have to take it to the dealer AGAIN. But, when running, smooth as silk, as you said and I love the 2 cylinder torque.... Personally feel the 3 throttle modes are useless. The bike doesn't make enough power to warrant the modes. I keep it in sport and still can be smooth with the throttle. Love the sound with the Leo Vince pipes. And even with its simple suspension, it handles fine enough for me.
The Baghira has its own little problems, but the bike is so relatively simple that I take care of it myself and the bike never (so far) sees a dealer or mechanic, except for me...
