Hi all,
first of all what is the best way to remove the spark plug on a Skorpion? Not much room under the tank!
And what is the best type/grade to use?

Take the tank off. Then you need like a 6" 3/8 th extension and a sparkplug socket with the rubber insert in it, else you'd need to fish it out of the hole with a pair of needle nose pliers.

I like Iridium NGK.

Copied this from an earlier post that has to do with a Baghira.
I use a standard style deep socket that does not have the rubber liner that helps hold the spark plug in the socket.
If I did, the spark plug would stay in the socket and extension. The result would be an assembly that is difficult to remove.
Using the standard deep socket allows me to break loose the spark plug without unthreading it and then remove the socket and extension leaving the spark plug loose but in place.
I then get a 3/8 inch hose, roughly 12 inches long that I slip over the exposed end of the spark plug and finish unthreading it.
For installation I reverse the process.
Note that anti-seize is used on the spark plugs threads.

Plenty of room in the skorpion, the frame isn't in the way, the neck is a little close but there still is a lot of room, You can get it out with it in the socket ...
Of course your method works as well.

Well I can confirm that the plug can be easily removed and replaced without taking the tank off. Plug socket with universal joint extension then use bit of fuel hose to reseat then tighten up.
I've never used anti-seize on spark plug threads, just doesnt seem right!

Never hurts to put a smear of antiseize on the threads. Spark plugs, especially iridium, last so much longer now we don't need regap and replace like the old days. I've seen to many stripped plug holes to risk not using some.

I never put a plug in "dry" and just use a little LM grease on the threads, good point though about Iridium plugs lasting longer. I will change mine for an Iridium type and see if any noticeable difference.
