660 Clutch assembly advice please

Hi All,

I need some advice please. I'm building a 660 back up from a box of parts.

I've slid the clutch basket onto the shaft and according to Grahams parts fiche there's a splined thrust washer that fits next between the basket and the inner clutch hub.

Although this washer is splined when fitted it passes the splines on the shaft then is able to spin freely on a recess in the shaft (a smaller diameter than the inside of the thrust washer)

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong ? ? ?

That sounds familiar. I recall it fitting in a manner that didn't quite seem to make sense but I was sure that it came apart the same way I was assembling it.
