I need a new front disc for my mastiff but cant afford the "genuine" article. various people have told me vague information like " i think one of the early yamaha R1 discs fit" etc etc. Does anyone know exactly what replacement part will fit, part numbers appreciated. For 17" wheel

Not good!
How many miles did it take, was it pulled up at the Mot?

Before you bin the disk, make sure all of the bobbins are free so the disk can float properly.
There are several youtube videos showing how to free them up (spin them slowly with a drill while spraying the gunk off with brake cleaner).
Worked a treat for me.

Spending ninety quid on a new disc seems OTT for an Mot `advisory. Is it below the minimum thickness? (4,8mm rings a bell)
