how to change cooling water - RT 125

Hello,
Since winter has almost come I wanted to change the cooling water. But I could not figure out how to replace it. I could not figure out how to get rid of from the old water. Is there a valve or how can I do it?

NOTE
in some countrys this job is required by law to be done in a dealers
work shop or in a cycle clubs work shop where the old fluid is properly
placed in the trash...

after looking at the shop manual and parts book
and the bike it looks like the draining is done at the
lowest point where the hose is attached to the front of the engine

this hose is connected with a band type clamp that is destroyed
when removed
you will need a new clamp here that can be installed without a speical
tool
with engine cool remove old clamp but not the hose
install new clamp but not too tight then run the bike till it is warm
then be careful not to burn your self remove the clamp and hose
and let the cooling water drain in to a pan and dispose of it properly
it is sweet to cats and dogs and will kill them
warming the engine and removing the cap after it is warm will open the
theromostat and let it all drain

inspect all hoses and clamps replace as needed
replace hose and clamp at the bottom of engine and refill with
a good 50-50 mix of coolant and water for alloy engnes
replace cap and take a short trip then check level of coolent
the coolant level should be checked at least weekly
and if you live where it is hot year aroung donot use just water in it
as the coolent gives extra protection when it is very hot

no need to warm bike, thermostat has a bleed hole, so all coolant will drain with the t-stat cold!

with out having the bike in front of me like David, I am not sure but most bikes have a drain bolt for the cooling system. on the Yamaha motor it is on the bottom of the water pump. also, someimes removing the lowest water pump retaining bolt will usually brain cooling system!

remember, those Germans are smart and make there machines serviceable, I would doubt the only way to drain is by removing a crimp style clamp. ( you can get them at a BMW car dealer in many sizes). I work on German cars and they are all very serviceable. Just my 2Cents..

hi guys i went to the basement and looked
there is no drain plug for water in the bottom of the motor
only 2 oil plugs and a weep hole incase the waterpump seal
fails it will run out and not be forced in to the motor oil

looked at the parts book also and nothing shows there

i think the disclamer i put in the original post is the reason why
there is no drain plug they want you to take it to the shop

Hi guys. Thanx a lot for the help. I do not want to replace the clamp. Maybe I can use a small pipe used in vivary to dispose the old water. Then replace it with the new one. It looks easer this way.
