MZ 125cc cooling water change
NOTE
in some countrys this job is required by law to be done in a dealers
work shop or in a cycle clubs work shop where the old fluid is properly
placed in the trash...
after looking at the shop manual and parts book
and the bike it looks like the draining is done at the
lowest point where the hose is attached to the front of the engine
this hose is connected with a band type clamp that is destroyed
when removed
you will need a new clamp here that can be installed without a speical
tool
with engine cool remove old clamp but not the hose
install new clamp but not too tight then run the bike till it is warm
then be careful not to burn your self remove the clamp and hose
and let the cooling water drain in to a pan and dispose of it properly
it is sweet to cats and dogs and will kill them
warming the engine and removing the cap after it is warm will open the
theromostat and let it all drain
inspect all hoses and clamps replace as needed
replace hose and clamp at the bottom of engine and refill with
a good 50-50 mix of coolant and water for alloy engnes
replace cap and take a short trip then check level of coolent
the coolant level should be checked at least weekly
and if you live where it is hot year aroung donot use just water in it
as the coolent gives extra protection when it is very hot
