dot 3- dot 4 brake fluid 1989 etz 250

i live in new zealand and cannot find dot 3 brake fluid for my 1989 etz 250. it states on fluid reservoir cap use only dot 3 brake fluid, i have seen castrol dot 4 fluid that states it can be used instead of dot 3 but it also says that if it is advised that vehicle can only use dot 3 fluid do not use it. if i use this dot 4 fluid could it harm rubber components in the brake system. would be very grateful if anyone could help..

Yes Dot4 is ok to use as it is fully compatible with Dot3.

I think maybe some silicon and definitely mineral based should NOT be used.
