i use kamasa and draper expert vortex 6 sided sockets, also have a full set of the kamasa spanners that include the half moon and S shaped spanners.. can't say they cost obscene amounts of money (car boot got me the draper expert vortex set for £4, one of the kamasa sets 3/8 drive cost me £12 new at the boot sale.. still sealed never used) i have also managed to pick up some quality stuff like king dick spanners (no laughing in the back there) good quality british tools.. even if the name is funny. hunt around. boot sales, auctions, voucher codes etc. got me a snap on timing gun for a fiver.. turns out it worked great and was £400 quid new or something insane like that.
Basically buy the best you can afford. and save for something special if you can wait. a bad workman may blame his tools but a good workman knows to use the best they can afford.. it costs more in both ££'s and aggro if your skinning knuckles, rounding bolts off or stripping threads.
