As far as I am aware (I've never had TS250 unfortunately.... don't judge me..
), the TS250 and the ETZ250 have completely different port positions. Namely, the TS piston ports are towards the front of the engine, and the ETZ have them directly at a 90 degree angle from the intake and that of the out take ports.
As for ignition though.. you can buy 6v electronic ignitions.. I currently use the 12v version of this and so far after 2,000 miles I have not had a specific problem with the ignition itself. I have had problems but not directly related to this.
