Anybody know where I can get a a set of hand guards from to fit a TS250/1 in the UK?
These subzero temperatures are giving my hand grief!
Cheers, Kieran

I've got a pair of universal hand guards on my ETZ - they came from the pile of crap I insist on hoarding outside the back door in the shape of two 4.5 litre oil cans!

They're cut through the 'neck', which is cable-tied over the lever clamp, and trimmed away so the bit with the handle is removed, but the base is left intact. In my case the base is secured to bar ends with a woodscrew into the end of a bit of bamboo cane(!) which is stuffed up the end of the clutch-side handlebar. The bar-end piece for the throttle is plastic on an ETZ, so the handguard is just secured to that with a self-tapper. I'm not sure what the setup on a TS is, but I'm sure you could sort something out. I've also cable-tied them to the mirror stalks where they're close, to stop them flapping about.

They're not at all pretty (particularly as I couldn't even find two bottles the same colour! ;) ), but they work surprisingly well.

The next step now will be 6V heated grips!

some small bulbs up the end of the handle bar
teflon coated wire and do a neat job 25 watts or so seems to do a good job
make sure the bulbs will fit before you wire them up
