ts 125 fuel mixture

Postby mark h » Tue Feb 14, 2012 2:24 pm

Hi all, on my '77 ts 125, the mz manual says, 50/1, the haynes manual, and a few people have said pre ETZ, should be 33/1, due to the smaller main bearing, any advice will be apreciated, as to be safe at the moment I'm running on 33/1, and its a bit smokey.. :)

It depends on the age, and in your case on the age of your workshop manual. I have a 74 ETS 150 and that is 33:1. I am not sure when they changed the recommendation but it was for the TS before the ETZ arrived.

Check the date of the manual as it may be younger than the bike. Good modern 2T shouldn't smoke too much
All the best
