For mine its full choke two lazy kicks ..Turn ignition on full choke and a good fast kick Ding Ding ...some bikes prefer 1/2 choke on the kick with the ignition on .. if its all set up right they are not that fussy but if you get it flooded with fuel it can be hard to get them going . hope this helps

Of course it won't start at all no matter what you do if the bloody stupid choke plunger has come off again. I don't know how many MZ bike have been finally thrown into a hedge or beaten into scrap with a hammer by a red faced maniac due to that idiotic little carb component. Thankfully I saw the light decades ago and did away with the standard carb altogether.

The Bing will fit and work but as I recall you will need the carb inlet that is made for the MZ Bing. Shouldn't be hard to obtain, I think most Kanunis had Bings fitted. The MZ Bing inlet also makes it possible to fit carbs that use a cylindrical rubber boot to fit onto the inlet stub. Certain 30-34mm two stroke Mikunis, Keihin and flat slide OKO carbs work wonderfully on an MZ but make sure you have the two stroke version. I have also used Dellorto (expensive but good) and a 930 Amal on an MZ engine quite reasonably but found the build quality of the Amal carb slides to be a bit suspect so a brass or chrome Amal slide is better.
Basically anything is better than a standard MZ BVFcarb and the Bing "Needlebuster" is not that great either but it works. Personally I'd go with a 32mm Mikuni or OKO but it might mean a little playing about with jets to get everything just right. But when it IS just right a decent carb makes a big difference.
You don't want to try what I'm running now. It's a truly one-off experiment that finally works very well after years of fettling but I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

i am only an mz 4 stroke user
my rt125 does not like any opening of the throttle when cranking
if the throttle is open its not going to start

For me, ignition on. Choke on full, It isn't usually until at least the 2nd kick that the bike starts and obivoulsy then you have to feather the throttle and the choke until you ride away.
