I thought it was pretty cool. Here's a quick quote from the auction:

It is a 1994 MZ Silver Star, made in Germany (formerly East Germany) with a Rotax 587 cc (originally 500 cc) 4-valve single overhead cam engine. This one was a magazine project bike done as a joint project between Ron Wood and the North American MZ office. MZ provided the bike, and Ron provided the hop-up parts and labor. It was intended to showcase the bike as well as Ron's performance parts. When the factory decided to drop the Rotax powered line in favor of their Yamaha powered line, the magazine article was canceled, and the bike was given to Ron to compensate him for his efforts. I bought it from Ron several years ago, and have only ridden it occasionally. This model was never approved for California, so this is one of the few Silver Stars with a California license (good through October 2005) and registration. Ron was able to register it as a used bike, based on its previous New York State license. It has only 4711 km (2927 miles) total mileage on it, and only a few hundred since Ron did the engine work.

The bike had only one bidder and sold for $2400.
