PVL Regulator / Rectifier

In some box's of MZ bits that I acquired there is one of the later stators fitted with the combined PVL regulator rectifier.
Question is can this be used to replace the earlier version and do away with the huge plate rectifier under the seat and the mechanical regulator?
It looks to be simply a case of out with the old and in with the new - just need some guidance on the connections. I know that the PVL item has terminals for an electronic rev counter, but as mine is mechanical I'll nto be needing it (believe that these are the DZM and 61 terminals), the D+ being the regulated output and F1 & F3 being the field connections.
Can anyone tell me if this is a viable conversion and whether I have the connections right.
Beauty is that I can keep the mechanical points and do away with the mechanical regulator & large rectifier.
Thanks.
