MZ/MuZ Riders

hello i cant find an answer so can someone help , which way round the crank seals go i got to seal holders ,now do the seals get knocked in flat side down into holder or flat side up?

or to put it another way do both seals have flat side of seal pointing away from engine not pointing into crank many thanks driving me crazy.

Somewhere in your manual(?) you should see a cross section of the engine, and if it's like mine (which isn't an etz 125, it's an ES/1 125) it will show the flat side of the seal against the crank. This is the opposite to how oil seals (crankshaft) are fitted to my 2cv. But that's a four stroke.
