Dual exhaust specs for skorpion race bike

Postby ahrmamz » Sun Dec 02, 2007 8:38 pm

Can anyone give me all the measurements for the dual exhaust system like the one Barker use to sell? I need header length and diameter, cone length and exit diameter, size and angle of reverse cone, and silencer manufacturer. Does anybody still build these?
Thanks, Bill

Bill,
Are you saying Tim Barker no longer is in the exhaust business?
I know Bill Jurgenson has a set on his Skorpion(in Germany)and may
be able to help..
Who are you going to have make these? I'd be interested also..I would
ideally like a 2-1 system for my street bike...

Bill in Germany no longer has that set. It is now mounted on Chris Hunsicker's Skorpion.
But Tim Barker is makingexhausts big time now:

you'll just have to ask him.

I recall something like 37mm OD at the head.....when I measured a set.
The headers are not much larger than the 33mm stock.

don't confuse ID and OD
the OEM headers are 32mm OD and 28mm ID
the Remus Cup system and the Sebring OEM for the Replica have35 OD 32 ID
Barker's has 39 OD, 37 ID

BTW, the Termignoni for the SZR also has 35mm OD 33 ID
both it and the Barker have only 1mm wall thickness

Thanks Bill. I was unable to reach Tim Barker because he's so busy but I contacted JEMCO in Texas and he still has the jigs to make the pipes. He said he would be happy to make me a set. Bill

Bill, what happened at Barber. I saw the photos of the aftermath and you seemed okay. What's the story?
You going to Daytona? It looks like I'll be passing on it once again, but will probably go to Road America later on in May. Won't be racing at Barber in the fall either. Have to be healthy to walk my daughter down the aisle the following weekend. Mid-Ohio may be my last race this year as it will give me time to recover if there is a "mishap" on the track. These guys sell an exhaust for the Skorper http://www.corsemeccanica.com/ See you later this year.

Gordon,

I assume you recovered from your encounter with the wayward spectator.

Still sore when I kneel and might have some issues with my shoulder. Sucks getting old. A tumble like that wouldn't have been an issue 25 years ago.
