hi all,
have not been to this forum for almost 2 years. I got my 125 sx in 2006. At first was really into it, but other hobby (mtb dh) and life gets in the way..
Well here is my experience with the bike.. I use it mostly for commuting to work and once in a while for some dirt riding fun..
1) know where to get your tubes and tyres, since not many shops carry this and most mechanics that you see their number by the roads "tukar tiub motor 24 hrs" don't have the spares
2) cover your choke twister from water. I use bicycle tube to cover the twister. I used to have to push the bike almost every morning during the rainy season since the bike won't start. The culprits were water in the carburetor and sticky choke cable. It seems that water trickle through the choke cable into the carburetor. So rain water were accumulating inside the carb and I used I had to take the bike to mz service centre every few weeks then. since I learn the trick, never have to push the bike yet, and never need to drain water from the carb anymore.
3) have spare clutch cable set with. In the past 2 and a half year, I had to replace the cable 3 times and the cable is hard to get from other shops besides mz dealer and agent. also make sure to grease the contact point of the cable with the clutch lever and the slot at the clutch
4) my fork seal broken last week and oil are everywhere now. The replacement would cost around RM90+ each. My rear shock had also died. I think there is no sort of damper anymore there. Replacement would cost RM500+. Any other suggestions for this by the way?
Other than that no other problem. The bike is fun to ride. The handle bar is high enough to generally past between 2 sedans without knocking their side mirror. But I hate myvis, mpvs and suvs, their side mirror is the same level of the handle bar

.
On the lookout for shock and seal now... have fun
