The OEM oil filter, Yamaha part number 4X7-13440-90 is common to the XT500, XT550, XT600, TT600, SRX600, XT250, XT350, TT250, TT350, XV500 Virago, XVS 650 V Star models, TDM850 and others. It doesn't matter what bike, just ask for it by part number - they'll know it.
I have ordered 4 Perf-form filters directly from Per-form, because they use filter media that filters smaller particles than the standard cellulose media. They cost me about the same or less than the OEM Yamaha filter but I would buy them if they cost more.
Fram I would not use. If you do a search for [Fram "oil filter" cardboard], you will see why; there has been an "issue" with Fram going back many years, to do with their cardboard end-pieces.
Purolator PremiumPLUS ML16805 is also a superior filter. (PremiumPLUS is their intermediate level filter; their part number that corresponds to the Yamaha part number.)
I revisited some of this information / these stories / last week because people on advrider were talking about the Scotts stainless steel re-usable filters. So if you want to get into it - it is quite interesting and it's always good to learn a bit more, to get some technical information instead of just opinions, which are usually based on advertising, this will get you started:

At the end of the article there are links to articles by various people who dissected and examined various oil filters. Great stuff.
