Brake Pads

Postby joey23 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 4:19 pm

Hi,
I only bought my Baghira a couple of weeks ago so not sure where to source parts. I live in Ireland and there is no mz dealership here that I am aware of. Are parts such as brake pads, chain and sprockets, filters etc the same as any Yamaha parts? If not, could anyone suggest some good websites where I can buy parts online?
Also having trouble with indicators and brake light, shouldn't be difficult to fix, has anyone else had similar problems?

For us in the UK EBC numbers are also FA 177-front, FA173- rear.
After extensive research the numbers for Galfer brake pads (which would be better) are FD074-front, FD075-rear. This is from Galfers main UK importer, phone - 0870 240 2118. They don't hold them in stock and could take up to 3 weeks from Spain to arrive. It being me I can't wait that long so I'll be EBC sponsered then.

Just to add the importer for Galfer they would only put in a order for batches of 10+. Im going through a set of EBC pads a year and no there not binding :smt025

Check out this post on the Mechanic/Tech Talk area of this website:

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=606

It deals with parts interchange

Also, my friend needed to order rear brake pads for his Baggy. I told him to call SF Moto here in California... they had them in stock but they said they are the same pads as a Aprillia Pegaso... from what I read on this site, Ithe front pads are Pegaso, but not the rear. Hmmm.... I do have a BMW F650... its the same bike as a Pegaso so I'll have to check.
