A U.S. Jet Source?

Unable to lean out my Baggy's modified carb set-up (installed the tunebike.de kit), I'm hunting for some smaller main jets for the secondary carb. Shockingly, turns out they don't sell Teikei carb jets at every corner gas station. Go figure.

Anyway, after calling my local former MZ dealer (who are fantastic guys, BTW, and still order parts for me; check them out if you're in the U.S. and need an MZ-only part: http://www.sfmoto.com) and learning that getting a single stock Teikei jet would be $25+, my "experimenting" came to a screeching halt. So, I've been grasping at the last few straws that might be out there before I call it a day, bust open the piggy bank, and get me a set of Keihin FCRs.

On the site it says that their "Teikei Large Main Jet" fits the 87-89 XT600. I know that there are some years of XT600 that used the identical carb as the Baggy, but I'm thinking that it's more like the mid-90s XTs.

Anyone know off hand whether these jets will fit the Baggy's carb? Heck, at $7.95 per, I might just give it a whack to see if it works out. But if anyone's gone down this road before, please share your experiences (or crushing defeats, as applicable).

You are at the right place. I race a skorpion and bought new secondary mains from motorcyclecarbs. They are the jets that Harley used in the late 70's ( non-cv type ) and if they don't have your size they'll get it.

Well, the last thing I would want to do is start a carb part supplier turf war here on MZRiders, so - to be fair - since ahrmamz got his plug for motorcyclecarbs.com in first, I'm going to give them a shot. If that doesn't work out, carbparts.com is next in line.

Seriously, the mere existence of folks who are willing to work with us "freaks" on our non-mainstream moto projects is a blessing. I'm starting to think that there's a light at the end of my tuning tunnel.

Eeeeewwwwww!!! That's not a motorbike. That's a SCOOTER!!!

However, if you do find yourself heading straight for it in a dark tunnel, fear not! Just pull up on the front end of your MZ, and you'll jump right over it!

BTW, good luck selling that thing anywhere BMW sells its bikes, at least with that knock-off badge on it. I'd love to be Beemer's trademark lawyer for that one.

Obligatory thread related content: I just received an assortment of jets from motorcyclecarbs.com. I'm on my way out to the garage now to see if they match (they look a little small, but my memory of the stock carb jets is fuzzy).

EDIT: Looks like cfmoto has ruined my fun and pulled that badge off the side of their scooter. They've removed it from all images on their website, but their U.S. importer has neglected a couple of shots with the logo. Judge for yourself. Here's the cfmoto logo:

I had my main jet out the other day on my Skorpion 96, and it certanly didn't look like this one. It has it's widest diameter right over the threads.

That sounds like the small Teikei main jets shown at motorcyclecarbs.

In one of those files I posted, someone [on this forum] says to use Keihin main jets. (There is more than one type of Keihin main jet, but you can see which look like these.) On the motorcyclecarbs website, it seems that they use the same image for the Teikei jets and the Keihin jets, but they have different item numbers.

You can notice that images of jets on websites are usually not good, not clear enough to see clearly.
