Postby handsomejackuk » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:59 am

Hi,

anyone got a free tyre they can send me for my baghira. I want it posted for free also. Rear only, my front is o.k.

Nows your chance to get rid of those new spare tyres you have lurking about in your shed.. :-D

 wish I had thought of that too... my baggi eats tyres like no ones business! Put new tyres on both my bikes at the same time, done about the same mileage (roughly) but the ones on the CBR look like they have loads of miles left..... the Baggi's look like slicks!!!

that would be like the Dunlops on my BSA. Been on there probably since the late 70ies and still going strong - or hard and definitely not what you'd want for wet weather. Or much of anything else, actually. But then noone would voluntarily ride such an early 50ies parallel twin faster than 60mph anyway.

Of course the tire wear on a CBR is going to less than on the Baggi. The Honda frame is even more oldfashioned than the BSA and its handling definitely nowhere near as good...

Totally agree there! Which is why the tyres on the CBR are still like new... usually parked up doing nothing while I'm out on the Baggi. While the Baggi is off the road though I'm stuck with the boring one unfortunately .... but at least it still has good tyres LOL :D

sue,

not to bad a day, only spent an hour on the boring one. Then spent three hours with the boring one parked up with helmet and jacket on bike. Went for a walk aound Grwyne Faw Reservoir in the black mountains. Wat can i say, fabulous day out would have been better if i had the other bike with me, But I probably would'n have left it parked up for so long for fear of it getting nicked.....

god I am missing my Baggi :( :( :( :(
