Cam,

>> Come on guys - no takers?

Thanks but I think I'm done with the MZ for this year, at least in terms of proper touring. I did over 500 miles last WE, going to Wales, and now the rear tyre is almost worn out, at least in the middle bit (Mways are boring but a necessity).
The plan is to use what little mileage is left in the rubber to take the bike to a specialist for fork/shock service, and then put it in the garage until next spring.
I might go to the Ace Cafe German bikes meeting next Monday tough, it's reasonably close and I might even find someone interested in buying the bike (no harm in hoping).

Ride Safe.

How come you're selling? Give us the details and maybe someone here will be interested.

Hi Cam,

Chap by the name of John Axford will be putting his 1000 (don't know which model) on the MZ club stand (balcony) at the Oct 18/19 Stafford Show.

Perhaps we could put a questionnaire/fact sheet on the Club stand to try and gauge interest in the model. (I tend to find that 30 to 40% of your targetted audience do not have/want access to the net)

The 'few' could always have a Midlands pub lunch nearer Christmas?

Cheers J2T

Quite simply, I can't justify having two bikes anymore (the other is a Yamaha Fz6). When it works, the MZ is the most gratifying bike I've ever had, but it's always been a summer weekend toy (it would be cruel and stupid to use it in winter), and in the current economic climate I don't think it's wise for me to carry on having two bikes.

I am still tretating it as if it will stay with me forever (like I said, I am planning to service the shock and the forks before garaging it for winter), but someone wants it, I'll let her go.

I put an advert in the For Sale section of this forum back in May and got no replies, but I'll pop it up again with updates for your convenience.

Ride Safe

Hi J2T - I reckon you're right about 'net access - and a damn fine idea about pub lunch. Looking forward to meeting you at Staffs 8)

Did somebody say tea? Put me down for a dozen!

It'll be nice to see more than two 1000S's in the same place outside of Germany!

See you at the show...unless it snows.....
