Carb Problem 2

Hi guys

I had a small problem with my Baggi today, the engine speed did not reduce as quickly as normal when closing the throttle. On checking the Starter jet assembly was found to be sticking. It was just a bit dry and sticking on the first position on the choke.
It might be worth checking and lubricating yours before the problem strikes. Its really easy to do, only requiring a 12mm spanner and a small amount of grease. I used Moly paste, but if available I would have used silicon grease (Dow Corning MS4 or similar).
Hope this helps someone with the same problem or stops others suffereing the same thing. After all prevention is normally better then cure.

I think you may be right.
BTW on the way home, on a duel carigeway (two lanes each way with a cnetre median) I was really going for it, had a misfire at an indicated 100mph. The realised it was the rev limiter cutting in as I was still in 4th gear :oops:

he was shooting the rush hour grind on 1 wheel at 100 plus
if he fell off it would take 2 days with a pressure washer to clean up the mess

You should have stayed with us. Down in Havant we had the TLGP.. I got the jump on Snatchs KTM and Boysie , but after 100m the 14t sprocket run out of wind.... Boysies bike seems exceptionallly quick though don't you think?? Or is it that he weighs next to nothing ;-)

Dont think it was the weight, rather the wind resistance of a wider body :lol:
Shame I missed it though, might have beat him on top end speed esp if I remebered I had a 5th gear :oops: .

Hey guys, you also have to remember my old MUZ has had time to mature now it's on it's 4th year of service..

I was at Trevor Popes today, and discovered the 6 pot Beringer brake caliper clears the spokes on my front wheel, which could be handy, as I was also on the phone to Slipstream Racing, and it seems 65 rear wheel horspower is only a cheque book away :shock: ,,, or I could just be sensible I spose.
