MZ-b GONE

Postby tonyc » Wed May 27, 2009 5:53 pm

MZ-B has sold all of their parts to a company in Hungary http://www.rmayer.hu/site/page.php?main=3&lang=3 :-( They will be sadly missed - by me anyway....

Yes I see it. I was told in an e-mail that my request for parts was going to be forwarded to the new company but I have yet to hear from them. Has anyone else had any contact with the new organisation?

Back in March this year I ordered Grahams Motorcycles a 17-tooth sprocket for my 1000S.
Ian, the parts guy, told me they usually received a shipment a week for all their parts, but that since MZ had been sold to the new owners (Waldmann & Co.) the delivery had become a little slower. He didn't mention the existence of a separate company managing all the spares.
The net result though, was that after three weeks I was still waiting, and I decided to buy a second-hand sprocket from another member of this forum. The part did turn up with Grahams in the end, more than a month late.
I suppose now that the handover has been completed, and teething problems ironed out, normal and reliable service will be resumed.

MZ-b is a separate entity to the factory. They used to sell parts for the old 2-stroke bikes.

please refer to mz-b by full site name so people can still find them
as they do make electrical systems for old bikes and mz 2 smokers is one of the many brands
dave
www.mz-b.de
and they are not part of the mz motorcycle factory that made the 4cycle bikes

when sending email to company's other than in english speaking countrys,,
see if you can send the message
both in English and the language of the country they are located (ask for reply in English)
if you do not know some one that speaks the language
ask the office of the city police in your town if they know some one that does
the police in my town have several people that translate for them when needed and one fellow said over 12 different
ones here in my city and its a small town
the online translators are ok but not good for a serious question or comment
