hello
spent sunday turning the traveller into a traveller ...
made adjustments to the handle bar mounts that came with the bike
and found the handle bars that were on the Saxon Tour when it was wrecked and
straightened them ---then cut in too in the middle and drilled holes for the controls to lock in
re routed wires and cables what a pain but now bike can be ridden in a more upright position
took about 5 hours but hot day and lots of breaks for pop and water
works nice and just requires me to machine a guide pin for the center of the bars as there
is now about a 25mm gap in middle that needs to be stiff for safety
pictures soon so those intrested can see if they might do it
for my riding style it makes the bike better for me
the seat position is now more like my rt125 or my r51/3 bmw and should allow me to do 350 to 450 mile days

That's nice looking bike Dave, I always liked the green the best. You might be a little suprised by the seat, my stock one turns in to a bun burner after 150mi. I picked up a Russel Day Long Saddle a couple of years ago and my backside has thanked me since.
