Baggi Parts

Postby keithcross » Sun Nov 07, 2004 4:43 pm

I have seen a few comments on this site on teh availibility of MZ part. Last Wednesday I noticed the front brake light switch had packed up. After failing to fix it, I resigned myself to a weight for teh parts to turn up.
I phoned BSA Regal on Thursday morning to order a new switch and a new boot for the front brake master cylinder that I noticed was perished when looking at the switch.
The guy at BSA Regal gave me the bad news that the boot was only available as part of a kit.
I asked him if he could get a kit and a new front brake light switch. I was amazed when he said "no problem, give me your credit card details and I will put them in the post today'.
I then nervously ask the cost of these bits and it worked out at wait for it the absoulutly unexpected price of £17 inc P&P. I asked how much for the brake light switch -£3.40. I told him to send 2.
Even more impresive the parts arrived on my doorstep on Friday morning.
I know a lot of the posters on this forum are in the US, but it stil might be worth giving them a try. I havent got there number to hand, just search on BSA Regal.
Sorry of the extended posting, but I am so chuffed with the service I recieved.

The mirrors from a Honda Silverwing scooter are ideal, shorter stemmed replacements for the high standard ones (which I keep clipping van oirrors with), so I ordered a pair.

8 (yes EIGHT) weeks later, I am still waiting for them from Honda. What brilliant service!!!

I would suggest you try another dealer. One of the main ones would be best, either Tippets (Surbiton), Lings (Harlesden or Harlsesdon in Norflok) Or maybe Fowlers in Bristol.

Well it never rains but it pours. Blooming speedo cable went yesterday. Never mind I thought at leaset the bikes running alright.
Phoned BAS/Regal today to order a new speedo cable and guess what, they have several in stock. Paid by card and its in the post, with a bit of luck it should arrive tomorrow.
Spoke to teh MZ man there and he reckons they have over £80,000 worth of Baghira/Mastif stock and yes they will export parts workdwide.

Spoke to David Silver's at the NEC yesterday-they went into their system and told me that there was "loads" of them in stock in their European warehouse. Different dealer here I come.

Incidentally, I rode to the show on the Baggi (a 300 mile round trip), whereas a few of my mates decided that it was "too far" to go by bike, so they would take the car. Sportsbike riders, each and everyone of them. Puffs.
