Where can I buy Brembo p32f and p30/34 calipers?

Postby djsbriscoe » Thu Sep 03, 2009 9:29 am

Hi,
Can anyone suggest where I can buy a Brembo p32f rear caliper(part number 20516115) and a P4 30/34C ORO front caliper (part number 20516568 and 58 right hand mounted version needed) for my Skorpion?
I've tried searching all over the internet and emailed a few places but no joy so far.
Thanks

David.

Hi David

I haven't used this bunch for a year or 2, but they were good.

http://www.motomeccaspares.com/

and I've never used this bunch but do seem to have a wide range of Brembo stuff

Good luck

Hi David,
You could also try: http://www.iane.co.uk/brembo_ROAD%20FRONT%20BRAKE%20CALIPERS%20.html and I once bought Brembo pads from http://www.protwins.co.uk/index.html and they said they could supply Brembo bits. Worth shopping around for the best prices.

There must be a british importeur!
try Stein-Dinse if you absolutely have to have new parts.
german eBay otherwise.
this guy has a new P32F for 37,99€ BuyNow and will deliver anywhere.
Buy that one now. Catalogue price is 97€
And this guy has a P4 for 149€ BuyNow, again a good price for a new caliper. Catalogue price is 205€ +VAT so beware that ANYTHING over and above that is too much!
I saw one for over 300€ offered as a good deal! But then I've watched many items get sold for far more than they are worth.

if used is OK, here is another for 69€ including VAT. Very good price!

Not Brembo but a very good deal for a good caliper and an eye catcher, too.

closer to home for you, what's wrong with
this?
or this?
or this?
or this?

plenty of P32Fs at eBay UK.

Bill,
Thanks for that.
I've just bought the new ones off Ebay Germany.
I've always been a bit wary of doing this as I don't speak German, but google translate was good enough to get the gist.
Comes to around £200 for both including postage, worth it to make sure the brakes are competent and safe.

Bill,

If you don't mind me asking.

For the P32F what is the exact size/procedure of the heli coil/insert that you install?

Also slightly off topic and a bit of a thread hijacking - I finally test fit a TZ/FZR wheel and the 320 mm disk. As you know the disk is a bit larger in diameter (stock 316mm vs. 320mm) and rubs a bit on the inside diameter of the caliper. Do you recommend turning the disk down a bit or removal of some of the caliper material. It looks like the second option is easy and cheap with plenty of material before it would impact the fluid passages.

BTW - any pictures from the Thumper meet this weeked added to your Blog would be great.

Thnaks

M8 insert. The hole is already large enough, you need to tap (special tap from Helicoil or similar company) for the insert and then turn it in.
that's all there is to it.
I never had the slightest problems with the 320mm rotors contacting the caliper but then I never tried it with the Grimeca caliper.

Thumper meeting?
You mean the Dutch meeting I presume, although there is also a SZR meeting this weekend and nearby a Cafe Racer meeting.
Not going to any of them for lack of time.
