Tyres... and carb!

Postby elcaptain69 » Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:21 am

Just thought i'd tell you about the tyres i've just had on my Baghira... I dont go off road and with all the piggin rain we are getting in the UK... I was getting a bit fed up with the back end twitching!! so bit the bullet and treated me to a pair of Dunlop Sportsmax.. absolutely brilliant!! cant get over the difference.. it just rolls into corners and so smooth.. Nice to feel confident 8)

See a couple of updated pics..... http://www.bikepics.com/members/elcaptain69/

So carb.... had loads of probs on tickover... the can was on the bike when i got it... never really ran perfect.. had carbs off a few times to check and clean... but found nothing serious... messed around with mixture... in the end.. as one or two have said on here... 5 turns out... (which I thought was far to much!) sorted it!! runs like a dream... still a bit choked at "wide open throttle" but I think notching the needle up on secondary carb will probably sort that...Just got to get around to it! it ain't that bad.

My Mastiff runs with sticky Bridgestone battalax BT010's front and back. Just keeps on leaning until it touches the pegs down!!

Hi Chris
How much were your tyres?
I'll have to be changing both my tyres soon and I want to brace myself for the cost!

Its a lovely bike.. and i've had mine for 2 years now and I still get loads of people asking all about it.. I've modded mine quite a bit as you can see.. but i fall out with myself all the time because with the shitty weather here in the UK i dont get to us it as much as i would like.. so i often think about selling it.. but when i do get out on it.. i realise that would be a stupid thing to do.. Its not the fastest bike that i've ridden but its great fun. I'm sure you'll agree, its a great feeling to turn heads when you are out.
