Hi guys! My name is Chris and im a proud new owner of a MZ 660 Baghira supermotard!

As im not quite used o this bike yet i got some questions..


Whats the easiest way to do a wheelie with this bike?

On what gear is it easiest to get it up 1st or 2nd gear??

tooo nice a bike to abuse doing wheelies and repair plastic is hard to find
get a trials bike even i can do wheelies on one of those

Boring with trial bikes.

And i dont have the original plastic on so if this brakes il just use the original.

Don't do them on the street...
Seriously, if you want to stunt a bike, get a dirt bike and go to town, on the dirt.
I'm an ex-ER nurse and currently working in post-op recovery.
It ain't fun taking care of a fellow biker who fell off while doing wheelies and stoppies...and I do it every weekend. I work at a major trauma referral center.
Recently lost a member of the community who decided it would be a good idea to pop a wheelie on the interstate at 70mph...EMS had to scrape him off the guard-rail.

Well said Bill.....the street is no place for stunts....all it will take is one drop at speed to prove it...
Even minor road rash is no fun at all....

Maybe i just wanted to practise it on a track without traffic.

careful is the way to go ..
i rode from some time in 1953 to DEC 4 2007
with out falling off
a fellow tailgating a truck turned left and got me broadside

that's almost 55 years and a big bunch of miles
you don't do it by doing dumb things
like you see on the crash and smash tv shows

Right on Dave,
I have ridden for 30 some years,2 get offs ,both my fault..once on gravel at 35mph...major road rash...I was 25..once in the back yard..new bike(to me)
dropped in dirt....no damage,but.....I did learn due dilligence...especially on the road!!!
Been lucky since...lots of near misses from the cage drivers...certain anatomical parts got very tight indeed!!!:)

Supermotard=street to me. I don't do track rides so I don't think that way.
If you insist (and I know you will...been there done that when I was much younger )

How to Wheelie
Please do not do this in traffic and remember it does not take traffic to get yourself hurt. Always have assistance around when stunting, dirt or street.
When (not if) you fall down, you'll be glad someone is around to pick the bike up off your pinned foot...(hmmm, wonder how I know that... )

I've never felt the need to try a wheelie on my MZ.
I did watch the guy who sold me the bike pull it up easily (before any money ever changed hands, so if it went down it was still his nickel...)
I didn't ask any details on how he did it, so not much more info I can provide.

Sheared woodruff Key

Gist of it is this:

I would speculate that the wood ruff key will most likely shear off
in 1 or 2 gear. Highly unlikely to happen in 5th gear at crusing speeds.
The one key which I know about, sheared off doing a monster wheelie.
Sheared off the rotor and the balancer keys.
Not me riding, I only bought the wreckage.

Resulted in a seized engine and cracked case.

Search for posts by phlat65 a couple years ago. One tooth less front sprocket, or up two on the rear sprocket, has been a common mod. Second gear.
