Postby smgs92 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:23 pm

Hi I have a 1970's ts250 i'm not 100% sure what year i believe a 72-74 and was wondering if anyone knows where i could aquire piston rings for it if i could get those i could have this bike running hopefully

it had some when my grandfather had it he had a motorcycle shop install them and the people there put the rings in upside down both times and they were the only shop that even had heard of mz so after that he never bothered to fix it it still has compression and is a complete bike so unless it has to be sold i would like to try to find the parts for it and hopefully get it running

Hello

The TS was built from about 1973 on.
There is no upside or downside of the piston rings, you can install them in each direction.

If you need new ones, you have to know what size the piston is.
Factory new cylinders had 69,00 mm.
If you cannot find piston rings in your country,I can deliver them to you.
