ETZ301 Rear swing arm washers.

Postby davegsm82 » Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:33 am

Hello everyone, I'm new on this list so a little introduction;

I'm Dave, from northumberland, 28 years old and have the MZ infection.

I've got 3 ETZ's currently, 125 (ridden from london), 251 (never driven in anger) and the 301 (regular use).

Its time for me to tart it up a bit for the Stormin' the castle rally which I usually attend, however in the process of fitting the nice shiny painted up swing arm, I've found that the washers which hold the arm are all worn to buggery.

Does anyone know where they can be obtained at short notice? i've called my local fixings supplier, they have some 34x18x3mm washers, mine are 35x18x2mm. The replacements will be 1mm thicker so these are unacceptable, unless I do some serious work on the bench grinder.

Thanks, Dave.

Have you tried Burwins in london

If they don't have them they might know someone who does.

David.

Managed to get some M16 large washers and bore them out using a neighbours air tool with diamond head.

Took some time but did the trick.
