Is there any possibility of replacing the tank with a larger one for longer traveling. I found that the 13 lt tank is a bit small as I would like to do longer trips, possibily into Lesotho or nearby rural areas. What is an acceptable fuel consumption? Presently I am getting about 140km before swithing to the reserve tank.

which mz do you have
the 660 engine on my traveller i consider to be a good motor but it is a gas HOG
an extra tank on the luggage rack is probably best
update profile to show country and area or city

The first tank on my baggy was 50 miles of motorway, then b roads, and I switched onto reserve at 184 Km.
That was riding at an indicated 80mph.
Baghira 660 for the road, CCM 404 for green laning. Singles rock!

Thank you for the reply. I own the 660. To be honest i am not sure what it is called because most of the photos I have seen of the type similar to mine sports road tyres and smaller rims. The bike is not really that popular in South Africa and I have not seen one before or since I bought this second hand. It is fitted with off road tyres and it is used mainly around town and on nearby farm roads. Compared with the price of other bikes in the same class I think I got some real value for money.
