Gilles Rearsets

Postby rd400racer » Mon Oct 11, 2010 6:57 am

I thought I would start a new thread on this so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. After doing some searching through old threads
yesterday I found that a few of the racer's are using Gilles reasets made specifically for the MZ. I searcherd their website and of
course nothing showed up for our bike.

So I sent them an email yesterday and wouldn't you know there is a response from them this morning in my mail. They said that
they are still making them and the cost to the US is $538 + $72 shipping. A bit high in my book but they are available if anyone
wants a set. He said there is an additional cost if you want them in colors. I will give them a big A+ for customer service.

if you'd been watching the various fora (and my blog and site) you'd have noticed that Gilles had the AS31GT MZ01 rearsets specifically for the Skorpion. That was my doing (not bragging here) and you'd have seen the prototypes on my bike.

Without the help and personal interest of Michael Drautzberg at Gilles, it would not have happened. My price is (unless they have recently upped the price radically) 327,85€ = ±460$ = postage of course. Most of those on MZs out there were bought from me.
Still a lot, but they are definitely worth it.

And, yes, they are very customer-friendly and up front.
