Hi all, I hope that someone can confirm my theory, and help me to fix this!
A couple of times now, whilst riding at a steady throtte, the engine has died completely, for about 2 seconds, then run perfectly again.
It happened for the second time this afternoon, and then was fine again.
A couple of junctions from home, the indicators failed to work. When I got home, I washed all the salt off, and started the bike. The left front indicator came on, but didn't flash. I switched off, and switched back on, and the indicators wouldn't light at all.
All the other electrics work, horn, brake lights, headlights, sidelights, tail light, idiot lights etc.
Having done some searching on here, Relay 19, for the side stand switch would seem to be the problem. I have no problem in removing it, or bypassing it,
If this is the case, I have a couple of questions, (I'm not good on electrics) before I brave the cold garage and have a look.
1) Where on the bike is the relay? I believe it's under the seat, but I think that there are more than one under the seat.
2) My (German) wiring diagram says it's a stop relay, so does it also stop the bike when the kill switch is used, or the clutch is engaged with the sidestand down?
3) rt/ws and rt/sw on the wiring diagram, is this red/white and red/black?
My plan is to remove or bypass the relay alltogether if it's not needed. Any reason not to, and do I just connect the 2 x rt/ws to the rt/sw?
Thanks in advance!
