indicators dont work help

After fixing the non starter of a baghira, we have noticed the indicators dont work. we have stripped the unit apart where you select left or right indicator. power is going to the centre wire from the flasher relay but when the switch is pushed to the left or right the power is not there anymore, fuse has been checked and is ok, could it be a faulty relay? we have replaced the connectors and rubbed the relay terminals as they were a little moulded but to no avail.

Hi guys, i just took the relay apart and a metal wire has snapped in half and there is a burning smell along with black smoke marks. me thinks it is that.
