Hi,help please.
Coming to work this morning on my sport it started missing and cutting out, anyone had anything similar they might point me in the right direction if this model suffers with a common problem.

drain float bowl
try some dry gas treatment
and put a big fuel filter on it
sounds like the set all winter load of water in the gas

also check wires to coil under tank on right side
mine came loose last summer 1 spade lug needed replaced

Same symptoms.
Mine had a lot of crud on the float bowl filter and the petcock was not flowing well.
Also noticed it when running lean, I thought I had tightened down the air filter...
maybe an air leak somewhere.

Hi,
Update, have had all the carbs apart all clean and tidy in there, checked the diaphram on the cv all ok. Checked air filter, petrol tap. Replaced plug, tried a different coil, checked connections, still wont rev. I can blip it on the throttle and it will rev round but if I try to build the revs up slowly it faulters around the 4500 mark and starts cutting in and out. Getting wazzed off with it now. Help.
