The description you've given is for a 500 Rotax re the oil filler cap, but if you have a 660cc then lift off seat where you'll see the white plastic oil tank and filler cap is at rear.

the 500cc rotax and 660 yamaha are dry sump motors
do warm up motor and check on center stand warm
engine off so no blow out of the fill hole
be careful about getting too full

As stated the oil "tank" is under the seat on the 660 with the filler cap at the very rear (near the tail light). I don't bother with the dip stick on the filler cap instead I hold a small flashlight right against the plastic tank and the oil level is easy to see. There are min and max lines on the tank, a dab of paint or permanent marker will make the marks stand out for easy reading. As Dave said just do a search on the subject and you will find much information.

The oil filler cap on a Mastiff and Baghira is on the front right-hand side of the frame on (or near) the headstock.
