Can someone tell me what this part is?

I have been through all the parts diagrams that I can find, but I don't see this part in any of them. Anyone know what it is? It has some kind of wiring harness hooked to it, and it looks like a drain hose going down under the bike.

Thanks for the help. I did the search and found the thread. I had seen that on the same drawing, but couldn't tell from the drawing that it was the same part. When I tear into my carbs again, I will remove it, since apparently it is not used on other bikes. I just wished it weighed 40 lbs.

I doubt it is standard as that is the fitting for the fuel pump, the XTZ vestigial part.

I took mine off yesterday. It is a solenoid valve. There is 12 volt going to it with the key on, and you can feel it click when it gets power. Since there was a rubber cap on the top, it was not doing anything. Now I just need to trace the wire and remove it, so I don't have a hot wire waiting to short out on something.

Just cover it up well and save it for the power wire of that PD Oiler...or other electrical device that needs switched 12v :D
