Recommended mechanic in Sussex?

Postby zer0blok » Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:43 pm

Hi All,

New to bikes. Just bought a MZ ETZ 125 in what looks like a nice condition. I am looking for a mechanic in Brighton /Worthing area to service... anyone here have any recommendations?

Regards,

If it is not too far from you Kickstart at Burnt Ash Hill, near Catford is a good, old style bike shop. Used to be an MZ dealer and gives good customer service.

I know it is a bit far out for you but could be worth it, unless you get other suggestions?

Thanks for replying Outrider. -It is a bit far out! :)

I have found a local chap who has a passion for bikes, who is gonna get it back on the road (fingers crossed).

The bike is 1991, with under 5,000 miles on the clock. It has been standing for a long while, so, while cosmetically pretty good, it is not safe to ride around.
I bought the bike from an enthusiast who claimed it would fly through an M.o.T -however, when I got it back in my van it wouldn't run for more than a couple of minutes, and on closer inspection it needs a thorough service before it is up to M.o.T standard, and otherwise generally safe.

Nonetheless, I am pleased with getting a MZ -an aesthetically pleasing bike, solid feel, nice weight. Hope to be on the road in the next week or so.

Regards
