Rattling front brake pads on Skorpion

Postby edfmaniac » Fri Mar 02, 2012 10:58 pm

After a few days of trying to decide whether or not I want to spend $200 to get rid of the rattle in my front pads, and doing a lot of shopping, I've come to the conclusion that the Brembo caliper on the 02-03 Indian Chief is the same as the one that fits the Skorpion. If that's true, then the anti-rattle spring for that Brembo should work on the stock Grimeca, I THINK!!! So I went looking and found some.

I ordered one from this site and will let y'all know if it works.

I also found a damn cheap source for the Brembo caliper.

The spring isn't an exact fit but I'll make it work in my case. Get the Brembo caliper.

If you want to give it a try, just take a sanding drum on your rotary tool and take off tiny bit of caliper material where the wide end of the spring makes contact.
