Hi Charles. No RA for me, but I am planning for Grattan. The way AHRMA is doing Barber this year, you have to compete on two different days to qualify, so that will be my two days. I also just read that they'll be limiting the racers to 700 entries per day and there will be a mandatory practice on either Friday or Thursday, or you can practice both days if you want. The drawback is there will be no practice on the race days in order to complete the race schedule. Should be interesting to say the least.
For gearing at Grattan I run 15 front and 41 rear. That lets me get a good run at the checker out of the last turn.
The sprockets I have came from Sprocket Specialties. I got them as part of a package when I bought a spare bike and I don't know if they were custom made or not. I can't find any listing on their website for the MZ. None of the Yamaha numbers match either. The number on the 41 tooth sprocket is 520Z. All the others, 43,42,39,38,37,and 36, have 187Z stamped on them. Maybe a call would sort things out.
You coming back to Flint? If you're there now, there is a school at Grattan this Saturday and an open practice for racers on Sunday. I'll be there Saturday helping out.
See you at Grattan in June?
